The Synth Eastwood associates is a Dublin group of performers which employ music, art and technology. Their aim is to present their work all around the world, but they avoid the label "exhibition" and prefer mutual sharing based on a joyful show.
Synth eastwood is a Dublin based music, art and technology group of performers. Their aim is to present creative work from around the world in an atmosphere more akin to a gig than an exhibition. As part of the advertised interactivity, artists of every field and level of experience are invited to participate in their performances. The group regularly sets themes on their website for anybody to externalize in a visual performance with unlimited creativity. These visuals become the basis for the richly structured Synth eastwood performances, including DJing, VJing and interaction with the audience through the use of customized interactive controls, gismos and mobile installations. Since the first exhibition of this profile in May of 2006, the number of artists submitting has doubled for each show while international interest keeps growing. Among the latest themes were, for instance, Flags and Anthems, Cycles, Worship and Berlin. Cycles represents the latest project; also presented in full at the Turnov festival in October 2008. The theme of the project, the film program, and the posters in varied styles, ensure that this year's PAF will reveal the specifics of the Irish approach to art. During the festival, 12 posters will be posted in the Konvikt exhibition space, presenting both Cycles and previous projects.
