The Two Cups of Tea exhibition enables you to taste the production of comics by a young Czech draughtsman and scenographer known as TOY_BOX.
The author has gradually worked up to reportage comics and through them she draws attention to current social problems which she eventually puts down on paper. The introduction reflects a collage of the author's drawings and graphic prints through authentic photographies as well as the dialogues of real people who served as models for the comics' characters.
Two Cups of Tea contains, among others, an older file about a sugar lump that has mental problems and tries to solve them with the help of it's friend, the tea. TOY_BOX published her short strips every day on the internet for her friends; the sugar lump thus soon found quite a wide fan base. Marie or A10NE comics represent socially oriented cycles through which she attempts to demonstrate the viability of comics as a reporter of complicated and highly current themes. Her first works are characterized by dark expressions of realistic drawings and prints.
