During the whole Festival of Film Animation the visitors will have the opportunity to see an interactive installation SWING(1) of the audiovisual artist Martin Blažíček at the Centre of Arts of the Palacký University at Konvikt.

The interactive installation functions on the principle of formal decomposition of image recording according to the structural methods of several notables of the experimental film world. The sensor records movements of passers-by and consequently generates their looped and deformed image.

It is a reflection of the work of, for example, Peter Kubelka (last year's PAF Cult) or Martin Arnold (this year's PAF guest) and Ken Jacobs (this year's PAF virtual guest). Toy for children as well as Film Studies students.

Martin Blažíček was born in 1976. He is engaged in film, videoart and multimedia performances. He is the founding member of the Ultra and Mikroloops groups. Presently he is engaged quite a lot in improvised film/video screenings, in which he uses the principles of structural film among others. He works as a pedagogue at the Centre of Audiovisual Studies at the Prague FAMU.
