PAF IS UNDERWAY
The eight year of the Festival of Film Animation in Olomouc has been underway since yesterday. The visitors were welcomed by programme managers of individual sections as well as by the director of the festival Alexandr Jančík at the opening ceremony at the Atrium (Art Center of the Palacký University, Konvikt).
"The rest of the orchestra has been stuck at the highway, but one musician has made it after all," said Jančík towards the violoncellist that operated even the guitar with the fiddlestick and thus provided the whole ceremony with a non-traditional music company.
The programme manager and curator Martin Mazanec introduced the visitors so-called black box, a wooden cabin that is to make the Konvikt Atrium special till the end of the festival. The visitors have the opportunity to see the installation of the audiovisual works of Ken Jacobs inside of it.
Several prominent festival guests attended the opening ceremony, one of them being this year's PAF Cult Ivan Ladislav Galeta or the Austrian audiovisual artist Martin Arnold.
